Screenplays

When I first fell in love with writing, I was writing short stories and the like in middle school. But one of my college film professors lent me Save the Cat by Blake Snyder, which got me excited about story structure: specifically screenplay structure. While most of my current projects are novellas, I occasionally still write screenplays, and have some older ones that I still like.  I'm excited to share one of each with you, each in its own format.

Love Is Blind

In this family-friendly romantic comedy, a girl tries to win her blind ex-boyfriend back by using different voices to pretend to be other people. She enlists a cantankerous theater professor to help, and learns some lessons along the way.

This independent feature film was made possible by generous donations from family, friends, and collaborators.

A Christmas of Memories

In this short holiday screenplay, a community-theater actress starts to fall in love with her co-star, but things get complicated when her first ever boyfriend returns to town.
